Early Head Start Teacher

The Early Head Start Teacher leads the classroom team in assessing and responding to the individual needs of Early Head Start participants and makes weekly contact to assess educational, health, nutrition, and social service needs and to enhance the parent(s)’ ability to meet those needs through the appropriate use of community resources.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications: Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential for Infant and Toddler Caregivers or an equivalent credential that addresses comparable competencies. Willingness to become knowledgeable regarding Head Start philosophy and regulations and the community we serve. Car and Drivers License required.


Preferred Qualifications: BA Degree in Early Childhood Education. At least two years demonstrated experience working with infants/toddlers and families of low income. Willing to become knowledgeable regarding Head Start philosophy and regulations and the community we serve. Car and Driver's License required.
