New Beginnings

The New Beginnings Program is designed to support formerly incarerated individuals who are trying to resetablish themselves back into the community. The goal of the program is to create a successful trnsition from prison life  to family and community living.

The New Beginnings Advocate meets twice a month with the participants in a group setting, to guide the individuals through their unique challenges and educate them on a variety of topics including: job readiness skills, presenting their criminal history on applications and in their job interviews, the necessaery steps to obtain a "certificate of good conduct", the steps for obtaining a social security card and photo ID. Individualized referrals are also provided.

New Beginnings works to reduce recidivism by empowering participants to acheive their goals and suceed in life. Participants will regain the skills and confidence they need for a successful transition to a stable productive life.
