What is the LoveU2 Program?
LoveU2 is a relationship skills building program designed to guide teens in building healthy relationships and making wise choices.
What will I learn in LoveU2?
LoveU2 focuses on topics including maturity, values clarification and peer pressure, attractions and infatuation, building blocks for positive relationships, how to gauge relationship health, the low-risk relationship strategy, principles of smart relationships, the nature of true intimacy and a realistic concept of love, breaking up, date violence prevention, communication/conflict skills, and a unique approach to pregnancy prevention that educates about the needs of children. Lessons are taught through fun interactive activities, journaling and discussion.
What age do you have to be to be able to participate in LoveU2?
Between 13 and 17 years old.
Who is eligible for the LoveU2 program?
Teen's families must be income eligible for Head Start or already enrolled in a Head Start Program to participate in LoveU2. Teens also must have a younger sibling between the ages of 0-5 years old to be eligible for the program.
When do the classes meet?
The classes are offered once a week after school for 9 weeks. Family Enrichment will pick you up at school after dismissal and will bring you to our program. The class is 2.5 hours and then you will be transported home.
