The "Chip in for FEN" Golf Classic benefits the Family Enrichment Network. Proceeds will support the continuation of programs and services Family Enrichment Network offers in our community to assist children and their families in finding a brighter future.
Family Enrichment Network‘s Annual Adopt-A-Family Holiday Program helps families in our community who need assistance during the holidays. Families that qualify are enrolled in one of the programs at FEN. They do not receive any help from family members nor do they receive assistance from any other agency.
Binghamton Mets Base-Bowl is our signature Spring event. We welcome the Binghamton Mets back to town with a fun filled evening of bowling. Teams of 4 are matched up to bowl with a Binghamton Met. Bowlers also enjoy dinner, an autograph session with the Mets, and chances to win fabulous gift baskets.
Our Family Library available to all families that work with the programs of FEN. Families can come to spend time in the library and /or borrow books from the library.
Information for Child Care Providers
The Courthouse Children's Center is a free, drop-in child care center that open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The center is a fun, nurturing, educational and safe environment for children whose adults are attending to Family Court business. Care is provided for children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age.
If you are concerned about your child's development, you may choose Family Enrichment Network as your child's evaluator, arranged through your local school district's special education office.
A quality fee-for-service child care program that provides an atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language growth and development of the whole child ages 3 to 5 years. We welcome those who qualify for child care subsidy through DSS.
Early Head Start offers a center base, full day early childhood program for families with children six weeks to three years of age. Services include programming in health, nutrition, early education, special services, family and community partnership. Transportation and meals are provided; income eligibility and age guidelines apply.
Eat Well Play Hard provides nutrition and physical activity education to three and four year olds, their parents, and the staff of eligible Child Care Centers and Head Start Programs.
Classes instructed in speaking, reading, and writing the English language, offered twice a week on Mondays and Thursday evenings from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Classes work toward mastering the English language and developing skills for those interested in pursuing ell and citizenship.
The Families Together Program provides Head Start families and families eligible for Head Start with services that will give them skills and techniques to increase their likelihood for developing and maintaining healthy relationships and marriages.
LoveU2 is a program for teens who are adventurous and ready for a journey! Teens will create a vision, a “North Star,” on how they could make the relationships in their lives more healthy and meaningful.
Marriage and Parenting is a program for couples (married or dating) who have finished our “Within Our Reach” class and are looking for programming to increase their parenting skills.

Trainings available in family literacy based on the 2007 Head Start Act which includes: Interactive activities between parents and children, parents as first teacher, education for self-sufficiency that leads to economic and financial literacy, and age-appropriate education.
CACFP reimburses child care providers for providing nutritious meals and snacks to the children in their care.
Instruction based classes, offered at a variety of times, on the five subjects needed to pass the GED exam. Classes are available at different ability levels and are designed around individual student’s needs.

Information on starting your own child care program
The Infant Toddler Technical Assistance Center assists in promoting quality infant and toddler care in New York State.
The integrated classroom provides the support of a Special Education Teacher for children who need this, in a setting with typically developing peers, for 3 1/2 hours daily.
Family Enrichment Network offers Johnson City School District four-year-old children with a five day a week 1/2 day center based preschool experience. Meals and snacks are included and transportation is provided to families living in the transportation block area.
The Kinship Caregiver’s program provides information, advocacy at DSS and Family Court and community referrals for resources to those who are raising someone else's child. All services are FREE regardless of income level. Kinship means that a child is being raised by someone other than the parent.
Unlicensed, informal child care providers who care for up to 2 children and receive subsidy payments.

New Beginnings provides formerly incarcerated individuals who are currently unemployed or underemployed with a vocational assessment , soft skills training, job readiness, resume writing, job search and application assistance , interview tips, financial literacy and skills needed for a successful job search.
The NOEP program provides assistance, information and pre screening for potential eligibility for anyone who wants to apply for food stamps. The NOEP Coordinator will help with the required paperwork and will arrange appointments at, follow up with, and advocate on behalf of applicants at the local Department of Social Services.
Occupational Therapy is provided for eligible children, and improves fine motor coordination, upper extremity coordination, daily living skills, cutting/writing/drawing skills, and visual perception.
The PEAP program offers parent education workshops for separating or divorcing parents or any adult who is in a custody or visitation battle. These disputes also occur outside of the nuclear family. The Assisting Children through Transitions curriculum is used to help adults lessen the negative impact that family conflict can have on a child.
Physical Therapy services are available for eligible children, and provides interventions to improve gross motor skills. Physical therapy can help build skills needed to enhance a child's growth and development for a lifetime.

Quality Improvement Grants are available to help Legally Exempt providers and providers in the process of becoming registered or licensed increase the quality or care they are providing through program assessment, training, and material and technical support.
The Quality Improvement Partnership is an intensive technical assistance project offering assessment, observation, mentoring, and technical assistance aimed at meeting identified goals to improve program quality.
A Special Education Itinerant Teacher provides services in the child's home or preschool classroom, and helps families and teachers establish home/school environments that promote development and learning.
Special Education Services provides programming for children with identified disabilities, including speech/language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, counseling, SEIT (Special Education Itinerant Teacher services), and integrated programming. Evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services are also available.
Speech and language services are available for eligible children. Speech therapy targets articulation, receptive and expressive communication, oral motor skills, fluency, and voice.
The Summer Food Services Program is free to all children 18 years of age and younger. The program operates Monday-Friday from late June through the first week in September. All children are eligible to receive a free and nutritious morning snack and lunch as Family Enrichment Network operates an open site.

Family Enrichment Network contracts with the Horace Mann Elementary school in the Binghamton City School District, to provide an integrated UPK classroom for preschool children.
Family Enrichment Network contracts with the Charles F. Johnson Elementary school in the Union-Endicott Central School District, to provide an integrated UPK classroom for preschool children.
The Wheels for Work program provides low income working parents with a vehicle so they can gain or maintain employment. The programs are County specific and parents must meet eligibility guidelines that include: income requirements, 25 hours employment a week, dependent children and a license that is not currently revoked or suspended.
