Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy is provided for eligible children. Occupational Therapy improves fine motor coordination, upper extremity coordination, daily living skills, cutting/writing/drawing skills, and visual perception. 

A variety of techniques are used including button/snap/zipper activities, adaptive feeding equipment, crafts that include cutting and writing, games that require the child to manipulate small/tiny objects. 

In addition to these skills, Occupational Therapy also provides services to improve a child's sensory processing and modulation. This may ultimately improve a child's attention and behavior. Equipment includes swings, large therapy balls, light tables, and tunnels.
